How It Works
TXT to SRT Converter tool allows you to easily convert plain text into formatted SRT subtitle file. Whether you're working on a video project or need to generate subtitles from transcriptions, this tool provides a seamless way to create SRT files for use in video editing software like Premiere Pro.
Step 1: Paste Your Text
Paste your text into the editor window or start typing. Separate the text into lines with Enter key. Each line of text will represent a subtitle. Empty lines and redundant spaces are ignored, it saves time.
Step 2: Custom Settings
Optionaly you can customize your subtitle file by adjusting additional settings. The most usefull is Fixed Step Between Subtitles which controls how long each subtitle will appear.
Step 3: Download Your .SRT File
Once you’re satisfied with your subtitles, click the "Download SRT" button to download formated subtitle file. You can now upload it in your video editing software like Premiere Pro.
Why I Made It
Premiere Pro doesn't allow importing plain text files, only preformatted SRT files. It also doesn't support transcription in my language. I usually have the text ready because I use a teleprompter. This converter helps me quickly create an SRT file. I can then import it into Premiere Pro and adjust the timing. It saves me a lot of time when editing subtitles. If you have any feedback, I’d love to hear from you! Feel free to contact me.
